Program Objectives
Upon completion of this program, pharmacists should be able to:
- Define the scope and clinical risk factors associated with menopause.
- Examine the economic implications of hormone replacement therapy in menopause and post-menopausal women.
- Review current medications used to manage menopausal vasomotor symptoms and other related symptoms.
- Discuss pharmacoeconomic studies that have analyzed the use of hormone replacement therapy to prevent and/or treat menopause-induced vasomotor symptoms.
- Identify new methods to manage menopausal vasomotor symptoms.
Pharmacy Continuing Education Credits
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is approved by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) as a provider of continuing education and complies with the Criteria for Quality for continuing pharmaceutical education programming. "This program is approved for 2.50 contact
